Cottage at Fridrihštajn is located in the heart of the Kočevsko forest. It is less than 5 km away from the center of Kočevje, and is easily reachable by car on a macadam path or on foot by hiking trails.

The cottage is a great starting point for hiking and biking. Remains of the highest castle in Slovenia, the Friedrichstein Castle, are about a 15 minute hike away from the cottage, but you can also hike to other nearby hikes (Mestni vrh, Livoldski vrh, Požgani hrib,…). If you enjoy cycling, you can visit one of the many mountain biking trails nearby. You can just just enjoy the peace and quiet.

The cottage is surrounded by a large meadow with parking. It is possible to use the outdoor fireplace.

In the lower part of the cottage there is a kitchen with a dining room, which can also be used for socializing, along with a toilet and a bathroom with shower. In the upstairs area there are two rooms, one with 4 beds and the other with 8 beds. There are a total of 12 beds and an additional toilet. The cottage is heated by fireplaces, the source of electricity is the generator.
