KOLU is a public bicycle available to rent by citizens and visitors to Kočevje. In Kočevje we have many local roads with little traffic where it is possible to cycle relatively safely. That is why cycling is a very popular form of recreation in Slovenia. So why not choose cycling as a way to get to work or do your errands? Do something for your health and the environment and take a ride with KOLU!

** NOTICE: As of November 9th 2020, we have temporarily removed bikes from the KOLU system due to upcoming winter, since low temperatures can cause breakdowns. Bicycles for rent will be available again in the spring of 2021. Thank you for your understanding!

The project for setting up the first five stations was co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union. The basic goal of the project was to establish a good cycling infrastructure, so that cycling would become a popular way of travel among citizens, thus improving the conditions for sustainable mobility of the municipality. The project of two additional stations, implemented in autumn 2019, was co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund, the CLLD approach - the implementation of local development.
