Kolpa - Rog
Zahtevna pot vas popelje od Kočevja do Kolpe in skozi gozdove nazaj do mesta Kočevje.
Route starts at the MTB trail center along a forest road in the direction of Črni potok. Ride leads along beautiful macadam paths to the Kolpa River, considered one of the cleanest rivers in Slovenia. In Dol, we turn left and climb past Predgrad to the Kozice viewpoint, where we are treated to a beautiful view of the Kolpa River canyon. We continue past the old Gottschee villages towards Kočevski Rog, where wonderful sections of forests and primeval forests await us. We ride past the Rajhenavski Rog and Prelesnikova Koliševka primeval forests, each with its own special story. At the end, we descend to Kočevje on an asphalt road. It is worth stopping at Lake Kočevje, where we can refresh and recharge our batteries.
The route is demanding and therefore suitable for well-prepared cyclists or cyclists with e-bikes. Make sure you have enough fluids with you, as there is no drinking water on the route from Koprivnik onwards in Kočevski Rog.
