The Krokar Virgin Forest
The Krokar Virgin Forest is a kingdom of beech, stretching on a surface of over 75 hectares. It is one of the key remains of the beech forests that survived the Ice Age here and began to spread to Central Europe and the Carpathians. Its value was further confirmed in 2017 by entering the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List.
You shouldn't enter the virgin forest, but you can observe it's mighty trees from the designated trails and from the observation points on the Borovec natural learning trail.
