Die Pfarrkirche St. Fabian und Boštjan und St. Jernej
The parish church of St. Jernej is located in the center of Kocevje along the Rinza River. It was built in 1903 in neo-Romanesque style and is adorned with works by some of the leading Slovenian artists, including Slavko Pengov, France Kralj and Stane Jarm. At the shrines in Stara Cerkev and Spodnji Log, it is the only one in the narrow Kočevsko region, where larger German inscriptions are still preserved.
The Triladian basilica is 25 meters wide, 50 meters long and 15 meters high. In front of it, on the site near the bridge over the Rinža River, used to stand the church of St. Fabian and Sebastian.
