The Nežica stream is located by the route Kočevje-Petrina. The highest and most famous of the three waterfalls, the 10 meters high Nežica Waterfall, is visible from the main road. You can also admire the tufa columns, along which the waterfall descends.
The Nežica Waterfall can be seen from the turn along the main road leading from Kočevje towards the Petrina border crossing. Some also call it the Tišenpoljski Waterfall, as the stream originates below the settlement Tišenpolji and flows down into the valley in the waterfalls of the tunnel barriers. According to legend, the creek is named after a girl called Nežica, who, along with her oxen during pasture, got pulled under by the intermitting water.
