Riserva forestale di Pugled-Žiben
Many centuries ago, the former villages of Pugled and Žiben arose in the middle of the forests of Rog. During World War II, Hitler relocated the German residents living here, and in August 1942, Italian army forces destroyed both villages. Today, the Pugled - Žiben Forest Reserve is a testimony to the unique history of Kočevsko. If we follow the footpath of the Roška trail, we will witness the power of nature, since the forest has covered almost all traces of the former villages, fields, and pastures.
